November 18, 2009, (Sawf News) - The USAF has deployed F-16s and F-22s in the United Arab Emirates for Exercise Iron Falcon, designed to promote military-to-military relationships between GCC nations and other US allies.

During the same period, F-22s will participate in bilateral training opportunities with coalition partners.

I believe Pakistan Air Force will participate in the exercise and I am wondering if PAF pilots will get to exercise with the Raptors, something IAF pilots have never done before?

If anyone has more information I think all of us would like to hear.

Operating with the USAF in Afghanistan PAF has already gained a lot of experience with UAVs and now the .Raptor experience. I am sure IAF brass is taking note.

As Indians, we know where PAF will ultimately want to use its experience.

No F22 in Dubai air show

    Hi Vijainder,

PAF didn't get to realize its wet dream of exercising with F22s (atleast not yet). F22 were withdrawn at the last minute from the exercise.

The same link that you have posted has that information in the discussion thread below. I am reprinting that post below

The F-22s did not participate in ATLC. They were planned in as part of the exercise, then shortly beforehand they were withdrawn.

Six jets were still deployed to Al Dhafra but they did not come out to play with the other boys and girls (OK, there were no girls).

The USAF representatives at the show refused to acknowledge the aircrafts' presence or explain what they were doing in the UAE.

    If anyone can enlighten us..."
